I just obtained a 48 star flag with stars arranged in evenly spaced rows. There is no marking other than 5' x 9'6". The fabric is lightweight, wide weave. From reading the forums I have concluded:
    1) It is the size of an internment flag
    2) It is likely cotton and perhaps a WWII era
    3) With no maker marking it is impossible to know much of anything!
    4) There were maybe a half-million of these from various makers during the WWII era

I would also like to note that the stars are sewn onto both sides.
    There are two brass grommets.

If you can contribute to my investigation... please jump in! I'm a new collector and thought this would be a great start!
