Hi! I just have a question about a flag that is hung on a mailbox down the street from me. It just doesn't look right to me. If you're looking at the mailbox, the flag is on a pole coming out of the BACK of the mailbox pole. I would think it should be coming out of the front, so it hangs to the front, not the back! Thanks for your answers

    Hello, Annegellen!

    Welcome to the USA-FLAG-SITE Forums!

If you could post a few pictures of your neighbor's mailbox & Flag, that would really help the members here to "see" what you're describing. That would make it much easier for us to formulate our answers.

Thank You for bringing your Flag-related question to our Forums!

I think she means those small "garden" flags with the metal rod "pole" that hang like a banner perpendicular with the mailbox post. Usually folks attach these to the post under the mailbox but if I am reading her correctly this person has it on the back side of the post opposite of the mailbox itself (?). Maybe?
