Hello all, I'm thinking of flying a 13 stars and 13 strips flag at home. Ether the "Betsy Ross" circle lay out, or stars in rows lay out. Why is a different subject. How or why it would be wrong is my question. I don't find any text other than opinion on the subject so I'm asking you for links or input. Thanks.

President Eisenhower's Executive Order establishing the 50-star flag included the provision that existing flags "...shall be utilized until unserviceable." While the flags this order was referring to contained 48 or 49 stars it is clear that flags with fewer than the "official" number of stars are still American Flags and may legally be flown.

Thanks Nick. Huh, legally, huh. Well I don't have an original so mine will be new. Thanks.

Any official historic US Flag can be flown and shown the same respect as a 50 star flag.
