    Hi guys,

Recently came into possession of a couple of these flags. They are sealed. Any info would be appreciated!

It is my understanding that flags of this dimension are burial flags. For me, the fact that the flag is 9 1/2 feet instead of 9 feet makes me think this is true. The flags are normally given to the grieving family to be draped over a veteran's casket. The VA does this as a free service to our deceased veterans.

Well, not necessarily. The applicable Executive Order specifies that (with certain specific exceptions) all flags made for Government use will have the standard proportions of 10:19. Also, I believe that burial flags are generally made of cotton, since they are not intended to be flown. The flags in Swxx's photos are nylon and designed for outdoor use.
