Hello - This is my first post - We own a large flag, 6 feet high by approximately 12 feet long, which is made of wool bunting. The white numbers "1780" take up approximately three-quarters of the flag's surface on a blue field. There are two horizontal red stripes across the flag on its top and bottom. Being red, white, and blue colors I thought it might commemorate some national event, but cant find any connections. I have attached a photo. Any thoughts appreciated. Thank you.

  2. The flag looks fairly new. It may have a reference to a local event in history during the Revolutionary War or it could have been used to pinpoint a street address?
