In the fall of 2015, this VFW Post in Williamsport, Pennsylvania erected 6 new flag poles (flanking their original US & POW/MIA flag pole) to display the five military service flags and the Army National Guard flag. It immediately became apparent that the military service flags were out of order. They were arranged, from left to right: Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Marine Corps, with the Army National Guard flag farthest to the right.

Fortunately, when contacted, the flags were re-arranged according to The Order Of Precedence and the Department Of Defense Directive 1005.8 which require the following order, from left to right: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Army National Guard.

As a veteran myself, I salute these vets for their willingness to change their flag display, and I'm proud to have played a part in helping to make this flag display the best it can be!
