U.S. & California State Flags

Hello all....I have one quick question about displaying the U.S. Flag & the California State Flag out in front of a school on side by side flagstaffs of the same size, when looking at the school, which flag should on the left staff?

Welcome to the Forum and thanks for posting your question. It is the US flag that should be to the observer's left as you look at the school. That is the place of honor, as it is to the flag's own right.

If your son's school principal doesn't "get it", then show him/her a copy of the "U.S. Flag Code". It's all there in "black & white" (and red, white, & blue, too!) !!!
