| I was informed today that on the old flag poles that have an eagle on the top of them something is stored under the eagle. I was informed that there is a bullet and a match stored under the eagle. I was told that the match was for burning the flag and the bullet was for shooting yourself, as you were being over run by the enemy. Is there any truth in this? Rob

| Hi, Rob! I was told that the match was for burning the flag and the bullet was for shooting yourself, as you were being over run by the enemy. Is there any truth in this? No. It's a silly story with no basis in fact. See my 6/5/08 post in the thread "Items Needed for flag pole" in this section for more information. Best, Peter Ansoff
