| We have 3 flagpoles outside our headquarters, usually flying US flag, state flag and corporate flag. When we have foreign visitors (quite often) we always replace the corporate flag with the country flag of the visitor as a sign of respect. How do we handle this with the US and State flag at half-mast due to President Ford's death? Some documents say we can not have any flag higher than the US flag; others state that a foreign flag shoudl not be flown at half-mast. Next week we have visitor from UK in our office.

| Too late now, but at the UN it is only the flag of the United Nations itself that is flown at half-staff (presumably to honor the passing of a head-of-state) and all other poles are left bare.
