Default V-E Day

Today (May 8th, 2007) is the anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. Pour nos amis Francais, c'est "La Fete de Huitieme Mai." We're flying the US (48 star) flag, the French flag and the British flag in honor of the day.

The other member of the alliance that defeated the Nazis, Russia, celebrates Victory Day on May 9th rather than May 8th. This is fortunate, because we only have three flagpoles! We'll fly the Russian flag tomorrow.
