how old is the flag and what material is it made from
is there any damage to it - ie rips/tears/ frays?
how big is the flag?
what is wrong with it that it needs washing? what is on it?

Sorry I missed answering this before Memorial Day
Most Nylon and Polyester Flags can be machine washed with a mild detergent and hung to dry. Don't dry it in the machine. Cotton Flags can be washed in COLD water and lain flat to dry. Cotton will shrink if washed or dried HOT!
