What??? NO U.S. Code On WebSite???
Hello!
At the risk of looking a little bit "silly", I hope you don't mind my asking a question.
I've been a member here for about a month now, and although I've looked all over the place and actually "searched" for it on this website, I have been totally unable to find a "copy" of the United States Flag Code on this website. By the term "United States Flag Code", I mean that portion of the U.S. Code that deals with the United States Flag.
I know I'm breaking the "Guy Code" about NOT asking for directions, BUT... if the U.S. Flag Code actually IS somewhere on this site would someone PLEASE point me in the right direction?
If the U.S. Flag Code is NOT on this website, then the next question is, "why not?"
Since the majority of questions asked (at least the ones I've read) and the advice sought on this site are answered by, or addressed in, the U.S. Code, I think that it would make sense to be able to refer to a page on THIS website rather than send someone elsewhere.
Thank You for your consideration in this matter.

Re: What??? NO U.S. Code On WebSite???
Robin and all,
This is a good point. In addition to the flag code, it would be good to have a couple of other standard reference files -- a tutorial on how to post photos, and a FAQ. We admin/moderator types don't have any control over the "front page" of the site, which is probably the best place for that sort of thing. We'll see what we can do about getting that changed.
Some of the info that's on the front page is inaccurate or out-of-date -- we need to fix that as well.

Re: What??? NO U.S. Code On WebSite???
Thank You, Mr. Ansoff !
I dang near drove myself CRAZY trying to find it! I suppose I should have given up looking for it sooner, but I just could not concieve of a site dedicated to the United States Flag NOT having a copy of the "Code" on site!
Which, I guess, brings up another question... If this site's administrator/moderator types don't have any control over this website's "Front Page", WHO does?
NOT that I want to make any waves, or anything... just wondering!

Re: What??? NO U.S. Code On WebSite???
Hello (again), Mr. Ansoff !
I just re-read the "Sticky" topic at the top of the "Suggestions and Comments page" titled, "Management of the American Flags Forum".
http://www.usa-flag-site.org/forum/management-of-the-american-flags-forum-2190.html
I had read it when I first joined in March, 2009. I naively "assumed" that everything had been taken care of. Now, of course, I can see that not "everything" was taken care of.
Are there any additional "updates" to what has already occurred, or any additional "remedies" that can be pursued or tried?
Thanx,

Re: Modifications to the Forum
Hi, Robin,
Are there any additional "updates" to what has already occurred, or any additional "remedies" that can be pursued or tried?
I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to. We made some major revisions to the forum structure, and I think that everyone liked the results. We can certainly tweak it some more if we need to.
With respect to the front page of the site, that's a long story. The bottom line is that the person who founded the site has not given us admin/moderator types the ability to modify it -- yet. I'm working on it, and I'll keep everyone posted.
Best,
Peter Ansoff
